First Official Test Drive of the NEW Office Chairiot Mark II

This is file footage of the first test drive of the new Office Chairiot Mark II motorized IKEA chair in the lab/workshop at StuffAndyMakes.com HQ:

That was absolutely awesome!! So much fun to drive! That wasn't even 25% throttle, methinks. Concerned about safety at max thrusters.

The motors were smaller (100 WATTs) and the joystick was not enclosed in anything (I was holding it with the wires out in the open and everything). At the time, the drive wheels were in the front of the chassis. They will be put in the rear for stability at speed.

My name is Andy and I am a maker. Enough about me. How are you? What did you have for lunch yesterday? Have you made anything cool lately? OK, back to me: I like to make things, with or without purpose. Clocks, shelves, machines that turn themselves off, homemade circuit boards, IKEA chairs with motors, etc. I love to learn how to manufacture stuff myself. I also love to take things apart to see how real-world products are engineered.
